I have been a Partner/Director of Stein Richards since 1995.

I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1988 with a 5 partner West End practice, before moving to a large leading City firm. I returned to a smaller West End firm as a partner and moved to Stein Richards in 1995.

I have been responsible for developing Stein Richards into a modern client focused practice with a special emphasis on providing business advisory services to small and medium-sized businesses.

I have been advising the full spectrum of our clients including individuals, trusts, partnerships, charities and small and large companies, including limited liability partnerships.

My work covers advising clients who are business start-ups to clients engaged in acquisitions, mergers and disposals.

Whilst covering a very broad range of industries, I have extensive experience with high class restaurateurs, financial service industry registered businesses and UK companies involved in “offshore” activities.

When not in the UK I spend my time in Spain relaxing and playing Padel Tennis as much as possible.

I am married with two daughters and live on a farm with horses, which sees me travel around the country as I give my support to their various horse pursuits.

I knew at a very young age I wanted to be an accountant and, as a result, I never went to university but started my articles after passing the foundation course. This all seems a very long time ago and most of my staff remind me constantly that it was a long time ago!

I was articled to a 6 partner practice in the West End and qualified in 1979. I decided then I wanted to specialise in tax and have followed that path over the years.

I joined Stein Richards as a partner and then a Director in 1999. Since that time I have moved the practice into the 21st Century, being responsible for a high spec computer system and hopefully one day a paperless office.

My expertise emanates from my love of tax. I act for a diverse range of industries, from Gastro Pubs and restaurants to travel and PR companies. The common theme is being on call at all times and providing what I hope is valuable advice for all situations.

Life outside the office - I have two wonderful daughters, a great husband and an even better Old English Sheep Dog. They all keep me very busy and in my spare time I am a governor of a new state school in our area. I enjoy playing the piano and although no longer taking exams, I love playing. I have recently become a grandma and I have also taken up running, which will hopefully keep me fit for my wonderful new grandson!

I moved to the UK in 1991 after completing my ‘A’ levels in Tanga, Tanzania.

I trained with a sole practitioner firm of Chartered Accountants based in Edgware, Middlesex and qualified as a Certified Accountant in 1997. After receiving my Fellowship, I decided to progress my career and joined Stein Richards in 2006 as a Senior Manager.

I deal with a portfolio of clients across a broad range of sectors from Investment Companies and Hoteliers, to Financial Services Authority Regulated Companies.

Outside the office, most of my spare time is spent with my family. I am an avid sports viewer and a committed supporter of Manchester United.

After completing my Chemistry degree and PhD, and five years of post-doctoral research at my home University UEA, Norwich, I decided to switch careers and become an Accountant!

I moved to Kent and joined Stein Richards as their first trainee in 2000. Being a small, hands-on practice, I was thrown in at the deep end and it was ‘sink or swim’ time. After a few belly flops, I think I am now swimming strongly following qualification in 2003.

Life outside the office - I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle and my hobbies include going to the gym, running, and playing hockey for Sevenoaks Ladies (a good stress release). A guaranteed 'waggy tail' welcome from my beautiful two dogs, Chester and Chloe, also ensures that I leave work at the office.

To relax I like socialising with friends, playing poker, going to the cinema and eating out. Oh, and of course, the odd glass of wine, or if I'm really lucky, champagne, (not exactly healthy, but fun!)

I qualified as an accountant in 1991 and have worked for a number of practices, benefiting from different size firms and clients over this time. I have worked on a large variety of clients and gained plenty of experience in many areas of accounts and tax. I joined Stein Richards in 2004 and I specialise in accounts preparation (personal and company) for various sized businesses, personal tax, VAT (including Flat Rate Scheme, Land and Property, Second Hand margin schemes). I have gained extensive knowledge of various accounting software applications and I am regularly involved in setting up new client accounting systems and training and supervising clients’ staff.

I have an active social life and enjoy a mixture of getting fit (well I belong to a gym and occasionally make an appearance), going to watch Arsenal home and away, which is a very labour intensive hobby, and I am also known to frequent the local hostelry. Whilst there, I am regularly quizzed on tax issues and have first-hand knowledge of all the ‘heard it down the pub’ stories.

I joined Stein Richards in April 2004 as a graduate trainee after studying Law and Business at Warwick University.

I completed my training and exams to gain my ACA qualification in June 2008. In the years since qualifying I have gained further experience and I am currently a senior within the firm.

During my time at Stein Richards I have had exposure to and worked in a variety of areas. I have become proficient in many areas including accounts preparation, taxation and audit and assurance. I have been fortunate to work with a wide range of clients operating in various manufacturing, retail and service industries.

Outside of work I will most often be found either playing or watching sport, as apart from accountancy this is my main passion.
