Robert Nissen FCA
I have been a Partner/Director of Stein Richards for the over 10 years.
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1988 with a 5 partner West End practice, before moving to a large leading City firm. I returned to a smaller West End firm as a partner and moved to Stein Richards in 1995.
I have been responsible for developing Stein Richards into a modern client focused practise with a special emphasis in providing business advisory services to small and medium sized businesses.
When not in the UK I spend my time in Spain purporting to be working on business leads and checking up on restaurant clients.
I am married with two daughters and live on a farm. When not helping my daughters with their maths (just) I spend my time touring the countryside in support of their various horse pursuits. |

Rolanda Hyams FCA
I knew at a very young age I wanted to be an accountant and as a result never went to university but started my articles after passing the foundation course. This all seems a very long time ago and most of my staff remind me constantly that it was a long time ago.
I was articled to a 6 partner practice in the West End and qualified in 1979. I decided then I wanted to specialise in tax and have followed that path over the years.
I joined Stein Richards as a partner and then a Director in 1999. Since that time I have moved the practice into the 21st Century being responsible for a high spec computer system and hopefully one day a paperless office.
My expertise emanates from my love of tax. I act for a diverse range of industries, from Gastro Pubs and restaurants to travel and PR companies. The common theme is being on call at all times and providing what I hope is valuable advice for all situations.
Life outside the office - I have two wonderful daughters, a great husband and an even better Old English Sheep Dog. They all keep me very busy and in my spare time I am a governor of a new state school in our area. I enjoy playing the piano and although no longer taking exams I love playing. I have recently become a grandma and I think to keep myself fit for my wonderful new grandson have taken up running! |

I moved to the U.K in 1991 after completing my ‘A’ levels in Tanga, Tanzania.
I trained with a sole practitioner firm of Chartered Accountants based in Edgware, Middlesex and qualified as a Certified Accountant in 1997. After receiving my Fellowship, I decided to progress my career and joined Stein Richards in 2006 as a Senior Manager.
I deal with a portfolio of clients across a broad range of sectors from Investments Companies, Hoteliers to Financial Services Authority Regulated Companies.
Outside the office, most of my spare time is spent with my family. I am an avid sports viewer and a committed supporter of Manchester United. |

Sharon Louise Davy ACA, PhD, BSc
After completing my Chemistry degree and PhD, and five years of post-doctoral research at my home University UEA, Norwich, I decided to switch careers and become an Accountant!
I moved to Kent and joined Stein Richards as their first trainee in 2000. Being a small, hands-on practice, I was thrown in at the deep end and it was ‘sink or swim’ time. After a few belly flops, I think I am now swimming strongly following qualification in 2003.
Life outside the office - I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle and my hobbies include going to the gym, running, and playing hockey for Sevenoaks Ladies (a good stress release). A guaranteed 'waggy tail' welcome from my beautiful two dogs, Chester and Chloe, also make sure I leave work at the office.
To relax I like socialising with friends, playing poker, going to the cinema and eating out. Oh, and of course, the odd glass of wine, or if I'm really lucky champagne, (not exactly healthy, but fun!) |

Neil Briars ACCA
I have been a practicing accountant (the emphasis being on practice) since 1991. I have worked for 4 other accountants before joining Stein Richards in 2004. During this time I have prepared accounts, VAT returns, wages profit predictions and personal and business tax returns. I am also meant to be Stein Richards’ sage expert and if you have any questions please contact me to discuss.
I am sure that after reading the above you will realise how dull accountants are, but in my spare time I enjoy most sports. You will see from my photograph I actively enjoy watching these on television with a cold beer to refresh me. As a guide, if there has been a big event the previous evening please call me after lunch.
I am a big Arsenal fan and can talk about them at any time. Due to unfortunate circumstances (I have a family) I have been unable to acquire a season ticket and I am more than willing to accept any unused tickets that may be available. (If Arsenal FC read this I am willing to do your accounts in exchange for a season ticket each year).
I also play badminton and golf (my official handicap is 27 from about 15 years ago) and, as can be seen from my official handicap, I am very useful in competitions (my unofficial handicap is the family).
Away from sports you may well see me standing on the end of your local railway station as I am a keen trainspotter. The good news is that you will be able to see me as I wear a very bright cagoule (only joking).
To sum up my profile I am an Arsenal supporting accountant who likes trains. You will note that I have not mentioned whether I have any friends as I feel you will work it out. It could only be worse if I was also a politician. |

I joined the Stein Richards team in April 2004 as a graduate trainee and am enjoying working my way up through the ranks. I am delighted to have become fully qualified in summer 2008.
Apart from studying for exams, my time outside of work is spent playing football, going to the gym or socializing with my friends. |

I joined Stein Richards in March 2004 as a secretary and I am currently working in the payroll department. Shortly after joining Stein Richards I completed my degree, and I have now passed my accountancy technician qualification. I am very excited to be embarking on my ACCA qualification.
I love watching TV in my spare time and especially love CSI. & Prison Break (i.e. Wenthworth Miller) I also like to read and I am partial to Martina Cole's books. I also love shopping for shoes and handbags and accessorizing.
I also enjoy spending time with my family and love lazy Saturdays at my parents. |

Hi, I’m Debbie and I joined Stein Richards as a PA and Secretary in February 2008. I have worked for a firm of Chartered Accountants before so I hope I know what I’m doing, although I never look forward to the October/January rush!
I’m married and have 3 children aged 12, 10 and 4 who keep me very busy in my spare time. When I have some time to myself I enjoy reading and relaxing in front of the TV watching stuff like Waking the Dead, Spooks, Gavin & Stacey and Hollyoaks. |
We are also supported by a dedicated team of professional and administrative staff.
